Bogota – Part 2!
6am to Bogota , arrived around 8am. Had a very exciting admin day. Did laundry, bought some food and napped. Went for a couple of drinks and had another game of Tejo, then had a nice Japanese meal.
Travelled over to meet baby Oliver! What a gorgeous baby, no trouble at all, slept in mine and Jess’ arms… I don’t know what Dan and Caro were moaning about! Had a coffee and a chat to see how their first 3 weeks of parenthood have been! Then Dan took us out to watch the footy (Jess really wanted to see the Champions League Final). A mound of nachos, a tonne of chicken wings and lots of beers later we stumbled home for a good night's sleep!
We wandered around a local market, lots of Mochila bags, gold, silver and emerald jewelry and baseball caps! Then we popped over to say a last goodbye to Dan and Caro! Miss them already (Except you Dan - I know you’re reading this). Then we went on an excellent graffiti tour of Bogota. The tour included lots of history and political facts which was really interesting. Lots of amazing art too. Papa Johns for dinner in bed.
An unsuccessful jaunt to the post office for stamps, turns out it’s a public holiday so everything is closed, including lots of roads which are only accessible for cyclists, which was really nice! Then an afternoon flight to Guayquil, Ecuador (via Quito!).
